OVERTHINKING AND ANALYSING

by | Jan 24, 2019 | Mark and Liam

We care greatly about what others think and it affects the way we feel.

If only it were the other way round… I firmly believe, we should focus on how we feel and then we won’t care so much about what others think.

For many ‘normal’ people, overthinking and analysing may leave them feeling negative or worried, but they will in time move on.

For myself and many other recovering addicts, we need to be aware of where this can take us.

If I think badly, I’ll feel bad, at which point using is a risk and then my life is in danger.

Mark and I have both fallen victims to this and often about Whysup and what people may think or what their opinion may be.

However, I think I speak for both of us when I say, this has passed, I ensure I feel happy with what we are doing and as long as that remains I don’t think too much about what anyone has to say in judgement.

For anyone who suffers from the overthinking syndrome, I was once suffering and was politely reminded, that I am exactly where I am supposed to be and if I stop thinking and look around I’ll see some lesson, good or blessing very quickly.

Stop thinking start living, even if it’s not all gravy right now there is a point to it and it will get better!! Hope you’re all ready for a good week!
